Gift wrap desk

The wrap desk at Oak Pulse Stationery is a working table, not a seasonal aisle buried in plastic. Rolls are stood on end so you can feel weight and opacity before buying a metre. We favour papers that fold cleanly around books, bottles, and square boxes without requiring an engineering degree.

Kraft bases come in natural and washed tones suited to twine and dried eucalyptus. Printed wraps use water-based inks on matte stock that accepts handwritten tags without smearing. Tissue interleaving is acid-free for items that might sit wrapped for weeks before a celebration.

Ribbon is sold by the metre from spools mounted on the wall — grosgrain for structure, cotton tape for soft bows, and thin metallic threads used sparingly for winter gifts. Stickers and seal dots are kept in drawers labelled by size so you are not hunting through mixed bins at closing time.

Staff will cut wrap to your dimensions when the shop is quiet, and we keep bone folders, double-sided tape, and corner protectors at the assembly table. If you are wrapping something fragile, ask for a tissue cradle fold we demo on scrap paper first.
